Loyal fans of the pop star are urging that a person who jumped a barrier and grabbed the performer during Thursday's Wicked: For Good launch be taken into custody or expelled from Singapore.

A widely shared video depicts the Australian man pushing past media personnel and lunging at Grande while the actors made its way down a yellow carpet surrounded by supporters.

Co-star Cynthia Erivo immediately guided the surprised star away from Mr Wen, who was spotted being removed of the premiere by guards.

Mr Wen shared on Instagram Thursday evening that he was "let go after being taken in", though legal records revealed that he was due to be present on the next day. It is unknown if he was charged.

Record of Disruptions

This is part of a pattern for Mr Wen, who describes himself as a "Troll Most Hated", has disrupted a celebrity gathering. His Instagram account features clips of him disturbing other star-studded functions, including breaching the performance area at the artist's Sydney performance in earlier this year and in a comparable manner during The Chainsmokers concert in the area last year.

"There needs to be action applied against him as this is clearly a criminal offence," stated an Instagram user, in a response to a video Mr Wen uploaded of his behavior.

"This appears to be a habit... why are you not imprisoned?" a different Instagram user wrote.

Supporters Express Concern Over the Star's Safety

Many fans criticized Mr Wen for "causing further distress" Grande, who had spoken of suffering from PTSD after a suicide bomb attack at the end of her 2017 concert in Manchester, claiming the lives of 22 people and wounding many.

"After everything she's faced... including the Manchester attack, you considered it entertaining to rush the barrier?" commented a further message on Instagram.

Some attendees also criticised guards at the Thursday event for not being adequately prepared; while others called for social media platforms to remove Mr Wen's uploads.

Aftermath and Event Details

In videos spreading on the internet, Grande appeared shocked when she was approached by the intruder. Her cast members Michelle Yeoh and Erivo can be observed reassuring her while Mr Wen was removed by guards.

Grande has not commented on the situation, and the remaining proceedings proceeded as normal.

Hundreds of attendees had assembled in a sea of green and pink at the Wicked: For Good international launch in a Singapore shopping center, including several who had waited for as long as many hours before it commenced.

The movie, to be launched on November 21, is the second of a dual version of the well-known theatrical show Wicked, which focuses on the unlikely relationship between two very different witches.

The musical itself is a spin-off of the classic children's novel The Wonderful Wizard of Oz.

Grande, who plays the benevolent sorceress Glinda, was dressed in a rosé sequin dress at the gathering while Erivo, who acts as the villainous character, wore a elegant ensemble decorated with roses.

They were joined by co-star Jeff Goldblum.

The previous installment, Wicked, was the most successful motion picture of the previous year in the UK, and earned 10 Academy Award nods, winning two for best costume and artistic direction.
